Demo Released!
Hi!
It's been a week since the Infinity Overwhelm demo was released. How did things go?
Well, some good...and some bad. Let's clarify things.
The trailer was released a month ago, with some pretty good results. The demo was delayed a week to release last Sunday. I got great feedback on different things, and that was the goal of the demo.
There is still a lot of content to add that was not available for this version. I was testing the general feel of the game. It's excellent, but as always, the main problem is controlling the character. This is concerning, as it is the game's primary reason for existence. I know you can get used to it, but I also need to recognize that some things still need to be fixed. I'm trying a few things and maybe at some point, I'll end up with a perfect result (maybe? Let's hope).
On the other hand, I didn't get as many downloads as I expected. I've tried to share the demo as much as possible, but it's hard to market your game without money to invest. I expect more downloads to follow the final release. I now have to work more on the marketing side if I want people to at least try the game.
This project was started with the intention of testing my video game creation skills on a project with strong limitations. I have done a lot and I am proud of what I have done. If you like this project or are interested in my work, expect crazy things. 2023 will be the end of the beginning.
I want to talk more about the game (game design/marketing). I like itch.io's devlogs. If this one works, maybe I'll try more.
If you still haven't tried it, the demo is still available: https://climbing-dolphin.itch.io/infinity-overwhelm
